Geese a-laying

Today's the day .......................... to re-fuel

No idea what these geese were doing at the Annandale Water Service Station on the M74 today?

They were obviously re-fuelling - but why were they there? They looked like ordinary, farmyard geese - the sort that would appear nicely roasted on Christmas day - on your dining table. So had they escaped from somewhere? Were they on the run to a safe haven to bide their time until the festive season was over?

One thing's for sure - we'll never know the answer ....................
