Winter Solstice ~ A Springlike Day!

These birds are wondering where the snow has gone? We are having springlike weather just days after a good size storm. The snow has melted completely off the trees and roofs and anyplace the sun touched down its warm rays. The only snow remaining are on the lawns and where the plows have piled it higher than the sun could penetrate. I love this day of the year. First day of winter, but with the promise of longer days, as we prepare for more wintry weather before we see signs of Spring!

Today was quite warm and snow was melting. In some areas there will be some rain and ice storms to contend with. I don't think we are going to be affected. Stay warm and dry and protected through the holiday season.
