Collie in the cab

I was testing Gus's farm dog credentials by seeing if he would follow me into the cab of Eduardo's "new" Ford tractor. He hesitated for a moment, looked for an easy way in (there wasn't one), then hopped via the step in to the cab to join me. He was just a little nervous about it all, but he proved himself the proper collie.

We are back at home again now after a flying visit to BW, a family and friends party and pre-Christmas feast at Eduardo's Saturday evening. Then a night when all mobiles, radios and other external communications were silenced, and this morning we watched the Strictly final. And what a great result it was.

Coming home did mean missing Eduardo's performance in the Fleece this evening, jazz and carols mixed. But we needed to get back as there is still a lot of organising to do for Christmas. This will be the first Christmas in the xx years we have been married, when we have actually been at home in our own house.
