A Monkey's Tale

It's A Wonderful Life

We continued with our relaxing & regenerating weekend.

Now that most if not all of our Christmas shopping is done, the time had come to complete the job with a spot of wrapping. Both Jenny & I have very similar traditions when it comes to putting the finishing touches to presents at Christmas, Jen likes to settle down to The Muppet Christmas Carol with the magnificent Michael Caine as Scrooge ('oh, there goes Mr Humbug, there goes Mr Grim'), whereas I like to wrap along to the Santa Clause with Tim Allen ('I'm in big trouble. Mmm-hm').. & so, we sat down, on the floor, legs crossed, & watched both in succession whilst we tied the bows & signed the tags. It was brilliant (you might also notice that this is the second time we have viewed these two crackers this month, but they just make us so happy!).

We had a visit from my friend Dave this afternoon, & we chatted allsorts over gin & tonics, before he had to shoot off for Christmas at home. Jenny & I then rounded off the weekend with a truly classic festive film, one to show the true meaning of Christmas & the human spirit, It's A Wonderful Life, with the wonderful James Stewart. Such a lovely, feel good movie.

And finally, free of orders, with no decorations to make, no baby's booties to create, Jenny knitted herself a Christmas woolly hat, With Love. What do you think? Santa chic no?!
