Irritant

This chaffinch sits around all day making the most irritating noise. It consists of a single penetrating note repeated again and again and again. He was sitting on an overhead wire and I could see him doing it. His beak is stuffed with an insect. Another shot where he turned his head shows long legs or antennae sticking out the other side.

Fringilla coelebs

This was a difficult shot, looking up, with the bright white sky as the background. I'm rather pleased with the detail, instead of a silhouette.
