Marzipan fruits

When I was a little girl my mother would take me to London to see the lights and we always popped into Fortnum and Mason just to have a look at all the fine and fancy things.

I loved the confectionery counter and used to marvel at the marzipan fruits most of all. How do they make them so realistic?. This year I have been treated to a box and I intend to just look at them for about a week before I actually tuck in.

I am sitting here listening to the wind and rain battering against the window. As usual we haven't got it as bad as some people but it does sound pretty rough out there.
