A Monkey's Tale

By MonkeyWithAView

It's In The Singing Of The Street Corner Choir..

It's going home and getting warm by the fire..

Jenny embarked on her long trip up to Allendale, Northumberland to spend Christmas with her family. With Chris Rea playing her out the driveway as the opener on her personalised festive CD, she flew up there in day light hoursm & thankfully there were no top to toe tail backs.

I enjoyed a half day at the Office, which whistled by in a haze of speed work, french pastries & mince pies, & then Christmas Eve was my own. My pal Bob popped over in a break from work & then after our catch-up, I set off too, driving home for Christmas (which incidentally was playing on the radio - crazy but highly probable Crimbo coincidence). I made a pit stop at the shops to top up the g&t supplies (not as nuts as might be expected, although quite a lot of people seemingly getting in a last minute mass shop), & then it was home for the holidays. We've had a lovely evening, chatting, chilling by the fire, watching the final Poirot murder mystery - I cannot believe it.. It was very good!

It's true wherever you find love, it feels like Christmas.

A Very Merry Christmas Eve to you all.

Right, gin & tonics all round! Monkey, get pouring.
