A very Merry Christmas

Christmas Day in Japan is a regular working day; shops, schools, government buildings are all open as normal despite the city being swathed in tinsel and baubles. This nativity scene is in the window of a local dress shop which was doing brisk business as people prepare for the forthcoming New Year celebrations.

It has been a lovely, chilled day here. I have been spoilt with gifts sent by family and friends and the woofer has played happily with his new ball (sigh…) for most of the day, stopping only to wolf down his special christmas day chicken dinner.

I hope that wherever you are and whoever you are with you have had a lovely Christmas day. Merry Christmas Blippers!

Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas.
