A moment of solice in a Christmas week from Hell

Dec 21-27: Sickness. Ice storm. Power outage. Broken trees. Freezing house. Flat tire. More sickness. Car accident (near miss for us but not the car ahead of us). More illness. A visit to the Emergency Room. Another flat tire.

Need I say more?

This photo was taken by Linda at my brother's new home where we had Christmas dinner. Four hours later we were warming up two elderly strangers in the back of our car after the vehicle they were passengers in collided with a van with six people and a dog. In all nine people and a canine. Despite the massive carnage, all walked away with minor injuries and frayed nerves. Despite our lousy Christmas from Hell, they had it worse.
