Cone Heid

{backblip}

Off for a jolly into Glasgow with a couple of friends this weekend, staying in a nice hotel and visiting some of the city's bouncing bars.

Avoided the more trendy spots that were packed with the fake tanned and shiny yoofs out on the randan, and instead enjoyed an eclectic night's entertainment upstairs in the Horseshoe Bar, listening to everything from Tony Bennet to Ozzy Osbourne (complete package that one, with leather, studs, cape & all mascara'd up) being belted out with various levels of success. A short stagger back to the hotel via the chip shop to pollute the third floor out with deep fried tattie and malt vinegar aromas.

Earlier we passed the Gallery of Modern Art where the statue of the Duke of Wellington was wearing his tradtional garb, and realised it was one of the few iconic Glasgow landmarks I hadn't photographed. Sorted now though.

And here's a short video showing how the cone gets up there.
