Clown Fish

We had a great day in Bristol. I was out early and got some pleasing pictures in the early morning sun. It's not often I get to take urban pictures, so this was a good opportunity. I got back to the hotel in time for breakfast - late and leisurley - one of the great pleasures of staying in a hotel is having a full english breakfast, and this was a good one.

Eventually we checked out of the hotel, parked the cars and walked down to the harbour. Again, lots of opportunities for pictures - of family and the renewed dockland areas. We wandered, caught the ferry across the dock, went to the ice rink and then split up - we went into the aquarium, which is where my blip came from, the others went off in search of Banksy paintings and a trip round the market.

The aquarium was excellent, and while I had to use a high ISO, I was pleased with many of the results, considering they were shot through thick glass.

We came out in time to catch my neices on the ice skating rink, and got some lovely pictures of them as they sailed round. After that we had a meal in a Pitcher and Piano restaurant, where we (all ten of us) were well looked after by the waitress. Then it was back to the cars and one section of the family headed North up the M5 and we headed South, back to Devon.

It was a much better journey back, and we arrived home tired but happy at about nine thirty after a brilliant couple of days.
