Flooded

The heavy rains have filled the marsh which lies to one side of the embankment along which I walk in our local nature reserve - the river is on the other side. Having taken pictures of the trees earlier in the week, I decided to concentrate on detail and the marram grass and its reflections caught my eye.

The cloudy colour of the water is due to the reflection of the mist which was shrouding the trees on the valley sides. It was another beautiful, cold winter morning - the calm between two storms, as it turned out.
