Allendale Awaits

The preparations for the annual tar bar'l ceremony that takes place every New Years Eve in Allendale, Northumberland are under way. The bonfire was built in the centre of the village yesterday and the tarpaulins are a sign that the weather here at the moment is awful with strong winds and heavy rain. Everyone is hoping for better weather tomorrow night.

Mixing your drinks is rarely a good idea but when you mix them with high wind and burning barrels it could be bloody dangerous quite exciting.
