Picnic in the Forest

Today The Mistress was rung early and invited to a picnic in the Forest on Black Birch. So half an hour later she was on her way with a bottle of Wine and me - the Camera :) She did take the little red point and shoot too, but she mainly used me. Heh heh - take that pointy!

After a beautiful walk in the forest with views to die for, and practising blurry images, we ended up on a Deer Farm next door and had the grand opportunity of taking shots of deer, rounding them up, getting them in the yards, and helping out with the de-velveting of them (taking the antlers off). The Mistress job was to weigh the antler of each deer and record the weight in the book (and I got used to take lots of images).

Today's image is of the forest though - such a quiet, peaceful place and really beautiful.

What an excellent way to spend the last day of 2013.
