Last Look of the Year

So that's almost it for another year and I thought my blip should be a last look out the front window, just before it got dark. The elm is still there in its glory, unravished by beetles and surviving the gales good style. It'd be nice to think it might have another century or so ahead of it. If it gets set alight by a stray firework tonight I'll know I'm a jinx!
Meeting George later for a few jars, a natter and some Hogmanay fiddling - him and friends, not me; I'll stick with the easy stuff!
