Sunset on another year

Thank you to all of you who took time to congratulate me yesterday. I really appreciate it.

So we find ourselves bringing the curtain down on another year.

I reflected yesterday about the highs and lows of 2013.

All the highs were wiped out by the loss of Mam. It will, therefore, be remembered for the most painful of reasons.

How stark the contrast with 2012.

I took this under Blackpool South Pier late afternoon today.
I'm pleased with the lighting effect.
The men are a bonus. They have their metal detectors out.
Perhaps they too are hoping for a better 2014.
