Party People

It's become a tradition for us to do little or nothing at New Year, since the little people arrived. This year then for the first time in about a decade, we threw caution to the wind (along with the Parenting manual) and booked into a local hotel for the 'family celebrations'.

Conveniently segregated from guests at the black tie event downstairs, we entered a world where the pic and mix flowed more abundantly than the fizz and the chill out zone was a place for marshmallow fights and endless re runs of Fireman Sam.

Both my children and our friends children, who were with us, danced the night away into the early hours and I think it's fair to say, it was a night that memories are made of...
