Standard Life House

On Lothian Road. Up until 1965 this was the site of the Caledonian Railway Station, with goods yards beyond. All the lines, yard and station were closed in 1965 and demolished by 1970. During the 1990s the derelict area was redeveloped and now includes Clydesdale Bank Plaza, Standard Life House and The Sheraton Grand Hotel. The Caledonian Hotel, which was built on to Caledonian Station still stands.
