Starling

This starling and his companions don't bother with the bird feeder just past the back porch, they come right onto the porch and help themselves to Riley's dog food. I took this photo through my kitchen window, you can see a blurry image of one of my African violets on the windowsill.

Temperatures close to zero today, snow is drifted. We took two walks in spite of the cold and as long as there wasn't much wind, and we bundled up, it wasn't too bad.
