African violet #2

Thought I'd better take a photo of this one before it's finished blooming. I used to think these violets were beyond my ability, I have memories of my grandmother and my aunt having them all over their kitchen and bedroom windowsills. But I decided to give them a try and now have about 10 of them, all healthy and they often bloom at the same time. I use self-watering pots, which is the secret, I think.

Lovely afternoon with my sister and brother-in-law - lunch at Johnny Rockets and then the girls went to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty while the boys went to The Hobbit. Met up for coffee and tea at Starbucks after - very nice way to spend a Saturday.
