Early morning

Up early this morning to head to BBC Scotland HQ at Pacific Quay to do an interview on the Saturday edition of Good Morning Scotland. However it gave me the chance to get a few shots of the river Clyde just as the first light was beginning to appear on the horizon and the lights were still lit on the bridges.

The footbridge in this blip is Bells bridge and has been out of action for ages. All my other photographs of this scene show it with scaffolding on it, but at last it has been repaired. On the right of the picture you can just see the Clyde Arc, which is better known as the squinty bridge. On the left is the Clyde Auditorium, which is better known as the Armadillo, (a conference centre) and just peeking out to the right of the Armadillo is the new Scottish National Arena, which is better known as the Hydro. In the centre (background) is the Finnieston Crane, a reminder of Glasgow's industrial heritage.

Definitely better when looked at large.
