wander, stumble, wonder

The last vestiges

The Christmas ham has all been eaten, the leftovers are long gone, the presents unwrapped, and the shops and radio have moved onto Australia Day. But there are still a few traces to be seen. A tree in a lounge room, with just a few presents waiting for a family visit, a few biscuits lingering in the tin, an occasional Christmas song snuck onto a playlist.

Christmas Day may only be 24 hours long, but the traces last for many days after, and the reason goes on throughout the year.
