Stepping Stones

It has been a lovely summer’s day here. The temperature rose to over 27C, and there was a brisk nor-west breeze blowing. It was great weather for drying the washing. According to the weather forecast this balmy weather will be short-lived with more rain predicted here in Marlborough tomorrow.
The dogs and I went out for our walk near lunchtime. I needed to wear a broad-brimmed sunhat. It was sun-burn weather for sure and the dogs were in and out of the river to cool off. A favourite spot for a dip is just above the stepping stones pictured here. Both dogs had a swim and created ripples on the otherwise still water.
