The power of the sea

More very high tides today and a strengthening wind.

The same circumstances on Friday (though much worse at times) caused damage at many exposed spots across Argyll.

This was taken this afternoon on Alexandra Parade in Dunoon, which is the main road around the shore and to the Western Ferries terminal at Hunter's Quay. The spot is almost opposite the Council Education offices and adjacent to many houses.

It will be a while before all such damage is repaired I suspect, given the scale of the task.
