The mind is not designed for thinking

An interesting day of cognitive thinking. So here's a little challenge for all you Blippers out there with time on your hands:

In an empty room on a table there is a candle, a book of matches and a box of thumbtacks. The goal is to have the candle about 5 feet off the ground and light it so the wax doesn't drip on the table or the floor. How?

The average time it takes to solve this (without the help of Google) is 20 minutes… apologies if it makes your brain hurt!

Contrary to popular belief the brain is not designed for thinking. It is designed to save you from having to think because the brain is actually not very good at thinking.
