Two windows in the foyer of one our favourite restaurants after brunch this morning. On the left is one of the stained glass miniatures that make this quirky little retreat unique. On the right a porthole to the cold truth outside: It is winter, and as so often happens here on the edge of the Atlantic, sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall have been followed by rain. It is as messy as it looks through the condensation smeared glass. But the restaurant is warm and cozy and the food and service are excellent so we survive another day!

Struggled with this one for a while. The un-retouched image lacked interest so I applied an HDR effect in Snapseed. But then could not decide how much was enough. I finally decided to follow the Spinal Tap maxim: 'If we had made too much of it it, it would have been a good idea!'
