Been visiting a family member in hospital lately. Usually I go during the afternoon when the public areas and outpatient clinics are busy. Today I went after supper and came across this deserted dining area in the middle of the building. There was a strong sense of recent activity about the place. As if the occupants of the chairs had scattered just moments before I came around the corner. The sight of the empty chairs in a place normally filled with conversation was eerie - almost startling.

I held the iPhone at waist height to get a more personal perspective on the chairs. Straightened, cropped and adjusted contrast and saturation in Snapseed before applying some strategic blur and vignetting.
