Caught in the rain

Someone on blip said that a shot will present itself every day. Well, it did today although there were other candidates too.

Bit of a shopping trip today. Went to Ashford firstly to Dobbies to return a duplicate Christmas present and then to John Lewis to look at lights and have a coffee and a scone. It was while enjoying the coffee that a tremendous storm broke, the rain lashing down and roads saturated. Naturally I went to take a photograph from the window when this poor lady came into view. She was walking quickly but not hurrying, I guess she though that rushing would not have made much difference.

It's usually difficult to get an impression of heavy rain in a photograph, but this was so intense it just had to show up.

After the coffee and after the rain stopped we carried on to the McArthur Glen Outlet Complex which is an interesting place for photographers. All wires, circus big top structures. Managed to find a jumper to fit which is very unusual.

So, I've just gone on to Flickr to upload other shots from today. Here's the first attempt
