Burst Water Main on Shamrock Street

Another great morning coming into Glasgow.

After dropping my wife off at work, I drove down Scott Street towards Stow College. When I got onto Shamrock Street I was faced with a flooded road. I quickly tried to park the car so I could take a few photographs. I just managed to get out of my car without getting too wet.

Stow College and a number of businesses in the area had been evacuated due to a burst water main.

This is a view looking across the road towards the former Trustee Savings Bank. I like how the water is swirling around to create a whirlpool and this motorist has decided to drive though the flooded road. Just when I was leaving a Fire Engine arrived.
