Caledonian Mansions

I must be dreaming, as we have had sun and blue skies today.

As I was going along Great Western Road this morning, I stopped to take some shots of Caledonian Mansions.

The Caledonian Mansions is a magnificent Category A listed red sandstone tenement block situated above the River Kelvin on Glasgow's Great Western Road. The building was designed by the architect, James Miller in 1897. This Neo-Jacobean building was first conceived as an annexe to the Central Hotel, which was reached by the new line from Central Station. In 2008 the Caledonian Mansions Preservation Trust completed a major restoration project on the building.

Hope this weather continues.
