Gold pan amongst the thyme

Sun was shining to day. Thought I would go tho the marina to find some rust! Hah!
There was almost zilch rust. It is a freshwater area, but I thought I would have found a few bits. I did found a couple of slightly rusty wheels from at least a hundred boats and trailers. Made me realise how far materials alloys paints and coatings have come. Also saw a slightly rusted winch cable but that was about it.

I remember our first little yacht and it had so much rust - first time we used it we got out into the harbour and the rivet that held an essential part parted so we had to paddle back using the centre board.
