"First the colours."

Doing the washing is one of my tasks - fortunately one I enjoy. We don't have a dryer, just peg it out on the clothes line. Easy to get dry in summer, not so easy in winter. I like to compare the blue colours in the clothes with the blue of the sky. I am reading "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, and he opens with the line, "First the colours". I may not be able to look at the sky in the same way again...
