Feeding the calves

Andrew bought three young heifers at the sale this week. They are a bit older than the usual poddies we get, and so less likely to suckle a strange cow. Here he is trying them with milk in a bottle to introduce them to the concept of milk coming from a different source. One heifer got the idea, and then went on to suckle the cow.

PS The sick calf recovered and is doing well now.
