No Justice, No Peace

A peaceful vigil was held in Norwich today for Mark Duggan, whose killing by the police was deemed to be lawful earlier this week.

The vigil held in Tottenham was attended by members of his family and vigils were held in other cities throughout the UK.

No Justice, No Peace is not a rallying cry for violence. The phrase originated in the USA in 1986 and the Rev Al Sharpton gives a very clear explanation here.
