An Indian Wedding

Everyone loves a wedding don't they (don't they?) and in the case of an Indian wedding, that means everyone. According to some guides, it's not a 'real' wedding until 500 people from each family are invited. That's some party.

With an Indian wedding, you often hear it first. The sounds will be from fireworks and then, if a large affair, a band (or bands in the case of this wedding; there were three in total). There are some auspicious days to be married and when they fall on a weekend, then many thousands will be wed in Delhi alone.

The brush you can see in the corner isn't an errant cleaner, caught coincidentally. After the band parade through the street a horde of sweepers, men and women, clean the street with straw brooms so that the path of the groom will be unsullied.
