Brand of the moment

During the last few summers visiting the UK I reckon I was never more than 6ft away from a certain clothing brand. Everyone seemed to be sporting clothing or accessories from this brand; Commuters, TV chefs, staff in the local pub, family and friends all decked out in these easily identifiable clothes: ubiquitous yet anonymous; sporty yet not technical; designed but not designer.

Here in Japan it's the tag line for a famous beer, appearing in every kind of advertising - in this case an entire multi-story building! Interestingly i don't see as much of the clothing line here…

So soon as a fashion is Universal, it is out of date.
