Life through the lens...

On a cold and frosty morning

Beautiful sunrise.
Car need defrosting, but what a beautiful cold and frosty sunny morning to set off for a walk.
We drove to Bingley, to meet the rest of our walking club.

A walk that many of my blip friends will know.

Down from the car park to the old packhorse bridge over the river . Then along the river Aire.
We saw a heron, and two deer, before the climb started up the hill side and along the top to have our lunch sat among the rocks at Druids Altar.
Unfortunately the sun had gone in by then and it was quite misty, so the view wasn't very good.

Then it was a walk back through the woods, past Coppice Pond and Lady B's tea shop ( didn't call in this time) back to the car park.
Another lovely 6 mile walk, just a pity the sun didn't stay out.

Have a look at this large.
Top shot was the sun shining on the frosty willow herb seed heads, just after we set off.
The bottom two show the packhorse bridge and the detail of the old cobble stones.

MrC now nodded off in the chair! Must be all the fresh air!

Thank you for all your kind comments and stars for yesterday's blip of the pond.
I think it was one of my best photos.
