Swanning Around

Sunday is usually set aside to orienteer. Today we headed to an event in South Yorkshire at Treeton Nature Reserve.

There had been a keen frost overnight with the vegetation wearing a white overcoat. Thermals and gloves were the order of the day as we set off on our course. Although not the most technical of areas we both enjoyed our runs in an area we have not visited before.

I took a number of photos around the lake but this one of the swan emerging after he had been ducking underwater in search of food stood out.
