AS MANY GULLS AS YOU SEE

in the big swarm so many persons were on the beach too. The most perfect day to go to the beach and enjoy the marvels of nature.
In the morning our friends and family came, we drank coffee at a leisurely pace, had a bite of the things I had prepared and set out for the beach.
Our friends and family live quite a bit further from the North Sea and are good walkers too.
We walked for two hours and saw amazing things. When we came back at our place it was cold outside already, so we drank tea before they left together for the drive home to Kamerik.
Mischa stayed with us, we had to bury a sparrow that she had found that at the balcony that morning, at the home of friends/family and en passant I wanted to give the swan family a bit of food while I had not had time at all during the day.
To my surprise we found a woman, it was dark already, who spread a lot of food for the Nile geese pair, the swans and the ducks. We joined her for a moment and left our gift for the birds. In the dark I had never been there and had wondered will we find the swans and others sleeping? No, they did not sleep!
But they will in due time I suppose.

My haiku:

Did you see starfish
Many lying on the shore
A lot of rescue done

And the proverb:

Neem brood van een dag, meel van een week, en wijn van een jaar.

Translation: Take bread of the day, flour of a week and wine of a year old.
