Surprise!

So, our friends in Scotland used to come down each year in between Christmas and new year for turkey and chips. It used to be a busy but fun day and I spent most the time cooking the chips. For a couple of years this hasn't happened and so we needed to get back on track and so we spoke last week and they said they would pop down today. We didn't tell mum, as over recent years she has been unwell and one year was in hospital by the time they got here ! We visited her and still did the turkey and chips at her house!! The joke was the Kemps weren't going to tell mum when they were coming and so they didn't. We all had lunch at the heather glen in ainstable. The food was perfect, the company was perfect Infact all in all a perfect day and my mum thoroughly enjoyed herself and forgave me for telling all the white lies to engineer her surprise. A fab end to our weekend. Hope yours was good too.
