Some water balloon popping to cool off tonight as the stinking hot weather takes hold of us for day 1.

I feel sorry for the tennis players who have to play in the heat. Tomorrow we are expecting a top of 43 degrees in Melbourne. I'd much prefer to be in a swimming comp I reckon.

Just watching the first of the night matches on TV now and our young Ashley Barty has just gone down in straight sets to Serena Williams, not a surprising result.

Glad I will be in the office all day tomorrow.
