Dakota

A few days ago I posted a photo of Dej, the male white faced saki monkey, at Dudley Zoo. Today it is the turn of the recently-arrived female, Dakota. The females are quite different in colouring from the males, but I think she is beautiful - her colouring is fabulous, both the mottled greyish fur and the reddish underside. She is quite difficult to photograph though, as she stays high up in the enclosure, and generally against an ugly background of pipes, girders etc. She and Dej seem to be getting on well together, so we must hope for interesting developments.
