A close up of the face of my daughter R as she waited to present some flowers to our associate minister at her retirement reception this afternoon.

R is currently angry at me because I won't let her go over to her friend's apartment until 7 pm this evening. Episode #218 of 21,800 "you're so mean and unreasonable, mom" episodes scheduled between now and her 21st birthday...

But I still think she's wonderful and beautiful and I'm "mean" for good reasons she hopefully will understand someday when she is a mom. If I am privileged to live to see that moment, I will try not to smirk too much.
