My Rare Bird Sighting - Black Throated Diver

The weather was dull and wet. Visited the beach and the Haven but not really a lot to photograph.

Decided to take the dog to the Doggy Swimming Pool and had heard that there had been a rare bird swimming there for a couple of weeks. The usual fishermen were there along with three photographers who looked pretty serious if the kit was anything to go by! Anyway they were happy to share that the bird was still there and that it was quite rare to see it in England. It was a Black Throated Diver or Loon. Shame it wasn't an adult with full summer plumage, but this juvenille is still beautiful.
