Clean change

Today was the final day of the South Island Colgate Games, this is the final leg or the glory leg of the Girls 12, 4 x 100m relay and what a tremendous effort this kids put in. For some of these athletes who have been competing at the Colgates for 7 years this will be their last year from there on they will move up to club and secondary school league. It's from these events that some of our future champions and NZ representatives will come from but on a sad point it also means an end to some of the careers as some of these kids are pushed and pushed by their parents and then give it all away because they don't enjoy it. Last night Millie ran in the New Zealand Under 20 3000m Championships and finished in Silver Medal place, Millie was very disappointed with her time. I have called in the big guns to talk with Millie one is a friend of mine and a coach with huge international success with Athletes of Millie's grade and Don Dalgleash who coached Nick Willis our Commonwealth and Olympic Mile Champion.
