I have a bit of a dilemma today. I am so rarely ill and yet I am conscious that a few of my Blips recently have referred to the problems I have had with my health following a complex tooth extraction before Christmas.. However, I am also conscious that this is a personal reflection of my year so not to mention this would leave a big gap in what has become one of my early challenges of 2014,
The infection in my face erupted horribly today, despite having taken 3 weeks of antibiotics and receiving these intravenously at The Royal Sussex on Wednesday. I received a fairly worrying prognosis from a local GP and I began to fear that I would never be the same again. I also felt ill and actually spent most of the day in bed...
When I met fellow blipper magic moments the day before he mentioned that he was trained in herbal remedies and said he would drop something to help the next day. He therefore called in, shared a bowl of soup and left some tablets. Interestingly, that night, the swelling started to reduce, so I am so grateful for his help. I am seeing a specialist on Monday so, fingers crossed, I am now on the mend. The other worry is that we are booked to fly to Barcelona on Thursday with two of our friends and am anxious that I won't be able to fly.
The picture above is the only one photographed today. They represent the end of youngest son's first week at work as a Sound Engineer, a job which he absolutely loves. So that is the positive end to the week.
