A Monkey's Tale

Moonshine

Well we did have a drink this evening, but it was no illicit hooch. Just a red wine, enjoyed with our bolognaise, watching the man James Bond in Skyfall, to herald in the end of the week.

It was also cause for reward, I suppose, as with the coming of the full moon tonight, I gave blood for the 5th time. There were no wearwolves or vampires in sight I can assure you.

It's been a fairly quiet week, made up mostly of more training on the debit/ credit system our team runs (feathers to my bow spring to mind, said Robin Hood) until that is, 3.45 this afternoon. We've had a leaking ceiling at the flat sadly since before Christmas, but we've also had the pleasure of a leaking ceiling at the Office probably since even before that. Dripping, staining, mould we think, panels crumpling in a cloud of dust (probably asbestos, right above Jacky D's desk next to me!), & the powers that be decided that now was the time to move us, without delay. And so in the last hour of the day, three whole banks of desks had to be moved just up the office. No pen, hand sanitizer or scrap of paper was left behind & it was honestly quite manic. The right decision, but poorly timed & executed, but's that management for you. Fun times! First thing Monday morning, operation organise.

Enjoy your own moonshine blippers!
