VIEW FROM ONE OF THE SIX

trains we took today to reach our much loved Weser Uplands.
We travelled via Venlo, a new traject for us. The trains were not crowded and we enjoyed the not too fast speed they reached.
A grey overcast sky above us from The Hague till the end of our journey. We did some reading, some talking, looking around and see what other persons did, hearing many Phone conversations from co-travellers, and a lot of looking at the changing landscape and the interesting industrial buildings in the Ruhr-aerea.
We never stopped long enough for an excursion.
Immediately as we arrived the silence and quietness envelopped us and that is one reason why we like to live here. Farewell to the North Sea I know but the knowing that we will return makes it easier.

My haiku:

That could be us there
Walking our path of life of
The unknown future

And the proverb:

She/He that passeth a winter's day, escapes an enemy.

This is a French proverb (fifteenth century): Qui passe un jour d'yver si passe un de ses ennemis mortelz.
