Work in Progress

Today in open studio I continued working on this painting which is part of my desert series. This is the biggest painting I've done in a while: 24 inches by 36 inches. It is coming along. Last week it was acting like a teenager. Today it calmed down a bit and I was enjoying it much more than before. It is changing as you can see by the link. The biggest change was my decision to calm down the gold sky. It had really begun to take over the painting. I may put some gold back into it. And I can see there is still more to do to complete this painting. But I do like the direction it is taking.
