Travels With 4 Wheel Fred

"Slippery When Wet"

At one point today the crews out competing would have probably been better with a speedboat! I know Croft has it's own climate and that climate is often wet and cold, but today was seriously wet. When you can see water flowing across the track, you know that it's bad!

I wimped out after the 6th stage, so we headed home... just as it was getting lighter!

In comparison to the Christmas stages, the Jack Frost never seems to attract the crowds. There really weren't very many spectators out, even with an entry list of 70+(I think).

This is the local Spadeadam M. C. crew of Barry & Michael Lindsay, unfortunately on their way to do a dance with some wagon tyres. "New drivers door please"! That didn't stop them from finishing 7th OA though, beating Subarus, Evos and such..
(they've been in a similar situation before, though without the tyres... )

I have finally agreed to do the Malcolm Wilson Stages as a navigator. Not sure how I'll fair, sat in a rear wheel drive Escort. Though my driver says he's only going for a "run out"..... and a win!
